Where is the lincoln repeater and 44 magnum in fallout 3? i know the lincoln repeater is in the museum of history. but where is that?

aircaptain9 replied: "Upon entering the Museum of American History, make your way to the Lower Levels, located on the left as you enter the big room with the giant prehistoric animals. Once in there, walk up the left staircase and go into the room filled with empty displays and enter the door to the offices near the back left corner of the room. Make your way through the offices until you come to a large, open room with a turret on the ceiling. Walk up the staircase against a wall in the front of the room. When you reach the top, you should see a giant hole in the wall. Once you reach the top go through the giant hole, and in farthest cubicle on the left you should find the rifle"

carlwolf532 replied: "The Museum of History is not far from the Museum of Technology, which you come across in the main quest, the quest is called GNR for this. History is slightly northeast of Technology in the DC ruins. If you want an exact location simply start the Head of State Quest. Check for details on this. As for a 44 magnum just check corpses and traders/stores."

Fallout 3 - How do I get the Lincoln Repeater if both doors have broken locks? Hey, I'm having an issue with this quest, in the offices level, both of the cell doors have broken locks, anyone know a way around this situation? Thanks.

eliz356 replied: "You broke them I'm guessing. The Lincoln Repeater is a gun right? I think I just randomly found it while getting something else from that library. It's in an office in a glass case. The cell door shouldn't have a broken lock. They only way a lock is broke is if you break it. Some doors are inaccesible but the locks aren't broken."

paulred2 replied: "you mean you've failed at your attempts to pick them? well i don't actually remember any doors to be honest... it's just up the back stairs, through a big hole in the wall, then it's in the very back corner.... there's a perk you can get to give you an extra attempt at any lock you've failed to pick...called infiltrator so go away, level up, pick the perk infiltrator( and maybe up your lockpicking skills) come back SAVE then attempt it and reload until you can pick the lock..... remember always save before attempting a pick, or simply always exit the mini-game after 2 'wiggles' and re-try Edit: i checked it and apparently infiltrator is a level 18 perk... might not help you for a while... and i don't think the 72-hour trick works on locks.... you may be stuck out of there for a while... ."

Would you recommend the lincoln's repeater in fallout 3? Even though you have to search for hunting rifles ( are hunting rifles rare to find? ) to repair it and the ammunition is rare to find.

Yohei replied: "Hunting rifles are easy to find (just kill a super mutant, most use them). It doesn't really matter what weapon you use, just get an accurate one and use VTEC to shoot them in the face."

Wes K replied: "I got at least 10 fully repaired hunting rifles sitting in a locker in my house in megaton so no they are easy most mutants carry them. The repeater is basically a more accurate and a little more powerful .44 with a large amount of ammo in it. I used it quite a lot when being mobbed by several mutants and when a deathclaw was too close. I wouls say its worth using since it really is simple to find it, easy to repair the only real problem is finding ammo for it. Which I got a longer life out of mine by simply buying .44 ammo everywhere I went"

Energy replied: "You're not going to be able to just walk in and buy the Lincoln Repeater, you're going to have to search the wasteland for it and only by sheer luck could you have this weapon before 10th level, so you're going to have to choose another or several weapons to use in the meantime. You start out with a 10mm pistol so that's why most people end up specializing in Small Guns, which includes everything from the .32 pistol to the Combat Shotgun and even the Sniper Rifle."

J J replied: "I have started using this weapon more than any other since getting it (it is located in downtown DC, in the Museum of History). I have many other weapons, like the scoped .44, the missile launcher, combat shotgun, assault and chinese assault rifles, laser rifle, minigun, fat man, and silenced 10mm pistol. This one is my favorite. You get 15 rounds before having to reload. There is a slight delay between shots, as it functions like a 30x06 hunting rifle where the shooter has to recock the rifle each time. It does 45 damage per shot, which is better than the sniper rifle, and about as much damage as a combat shotgun, but with a lot more range. It seems to be a little more accurate than a hunting rifle. As noted above, hunting rifles to repair it are extremely easy to find - they are everywhere - Super Mutants and raiders. The .44 ammo is the hardest part about it to find. Once you have financed the traders out of Canterbury Commons, you can get some there from Lucky Harwith. His trading caravan does a rotation through the wasteland every 3 days, and Canterbury Commons is one of the stops."

cjhalo replied: "Hunting rifles are not hard to find and are very abundant within the wasteland, Mutants and Raiders alike carry them. The standard Hunting Rifle uses a .32 caliber round while Lincoln's repeater uses .44 caliber. Lincoln's Repeater is by far the easiest and strongest gun to find. Just complete Tenpenny's Tower mission and get the Ghouls mask by either siding with the Ghouls or attempting a peaceful solution. Once you get the mask then head to the Museum of History in Capital area. The museum is crawling with feral ghouls, but if you're wearing a mask, you can walk right up to the second floor and pick the lock on the case with Lincoln's Repeater. If you don't have a good enough lockpicking skill, then train it, and remember to save before you attempt to pick it. There is no key for the case and if you break the lock, you'll have to waste a perk to try again."

Where can I find the Lincoln Repeater in Fallout 3? north/south/east/west directions of any place thats popular (ex. meagton) would be nice :]

TheBoxNinja replied: "Since I don't have my actual game open at the moment the best I can supply you with is a map to the Museum of American History. Once you get inside, follow these directions to Lincoln's Repeater: "Lincoln's Repeater is located, in perfect condition, inside of a display case in the top floor of the Museum of American History offices. - Enter the door of the Museum, go around the desk, and into the main chamber of the Museum. - Turn left/west past a burning barrel to another barrel by two wooden doors. - Go up the stairs and through the center doors. - Go to the door to the Offices in the back-left corner of the room. - Go up more stairs to a hallway and turn left and then right. - Go through the room with bars on it to a large, 2-story room with a staircase. - Turn right and go up the stairs. - Turn left and go through the hole in the wall into a room. - Cross the room to the doorway with the clock on the wall to the right. - To the left, just before the door, is the display case up against the left wall. ""

Fallout 3:which is better? Black Hawk or Lincoln's repeater? I have the unique Black hawk pistol and unique lincoln's repeater but which is better?Because i have a lot of 44 magnum ammo and on the wiki it says its good for small gun fans but i don't want to sell the other gun.The reason is because i'm a unique gun collector and i always have my unique guns with me.So which is better?

Gabe replied: "I prefer the Black Hawk. In the case of which is better they are pretty much the same. Your choice."

ekajf replied: "personally, i like black hawk just cuz i fricken love the magnum"

castmoney replied: "I loved the Lincoln repeater but I couldn't find a place to repair it . I still run through the game to finish the side missions. I completed the game but only finished 60% of the missions. I used the blackhawk a little but the lincoln is a strong weapon if you can repair it."

AK47 replied: "Lincolns repeater. but both the same"

ChrisDRob replied: "The Blackhawk does more damage. For me my Blackhawk does 47 damage and my Licoln's Repeater does 44. You should just keep both, and if you have to sell one or store one away for extra inventory space then do that for the Licoln's Repeater. I have all the unique equipment on the game, including the equipment from the DLCs, but I can barely carry quatre of them all, and I have my strength "special" atribute on 10. Yeah so keep the Blackhawk, it doesn't weigh as much, its easier to repar despite that its more vunerable but it does quite a bit more damage and it looks awesome in VATS.! If any one needs anyhelp on Fallout 3 (Xbox360), add my gamertag: ChrisDRob Good Luck!"

Chris replied: "The weapons do roughly the same damage as each other and are both extremely accurate. However to repair Blackhawk yourself you have to use another magnum which is hard to find, Blackhawk also breaks quicker than the Repeater. Lincoln's repeater breaks less often than Blackhawk and can be repaired using a hunting rifle which can be found anywhere in the game off a lot of enemies. For these reasons i prefer Lincoln's Repeater."

In Fallout 3, How do I get the Lincoln Repeater back from Abraham Washington after selling it to him? I accidently sold the Lincoln Repeater to the cheap prick Abraham Washington in Rivet City (I thought it was a novelty item and not a real weapon). I keep trying to pickpocket him but only his door key and instamash keep showing up in his inventory. I've even tried to kill him but he just keeps going unconscious and will not die. How do I get the Repeater back from him?? PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I am playing on a Xbox 360. For the Lincoln's Repeater in fallout 3 is its ammo rare to find? because i now that it takes .44

goths make me hard replied: "no i killed 10 raiders and got 150 ammo so no not really"

xj5689x replied: "The person above was either really lucky, really high level or is just plain full of it. I've only ever encountered like 1 or 2 raiders that were using a Scoped .44 Revolver, which is the only other gun to use .44 ammo. And yes, the ammo is rare to find on both people and in containers. Merchants do have it and usually get a supply every time they restock which is fairly often I think. If you want to get more ammo every time you find it in a container, you should get the Scrounger perk as soon as possible, since that's exactly what it does."

J J replied: "You can go to Canterbury Commons and talk to the bar owner there. You might have to do the superhero quest first, but in the end he will let you finance traders. Anyway, finance the weapons trader, "Lucky Harwith". You can buy some ammo from him each time he does a route through there. They cost 3 caps each, and he'll have 8 to 15 rounds each time. Just wait until 3pm in the courtyard in front of the town facing west, and then wait in 24 hour increments until he gets there. He shows up about every 3 days. It'll take you a little while to get a decent amount like 100 rounds, but if you can't find any anywhere else, this is a sure thing."

fallout 3 lincoln's repeater? im not sure what everyone is saying that you can repair it with the hunting rifle. do they mean that you have to take parts from the hunting rifle to repair the repeater? i don't have the game yet. but i know that im only going to be using the repeater because its so sweet.

Adam T replied: "Nope you just go onto the screen Go onto the lincons repeater and then click Y and itl then go onto a repair thing go under the hunting rifle and click A and youve destroyed one gun but repaired your lincolns repeater"

JJRimmer replied: "To repair the Repeater you just pick up hunting rifeles go to the repeater in your invertory and click repair and a list of hunting rifles in your inventory pop up you just click the repeater and it uses parts from the hunting rifles to repair the gun. To repair on the 360 its Y On PS3 it O on PC is jsut a mouse click"

Gnemlock replied: "Asking how to do something that would be obvious to you, if you actually had the game in the first place. smart. When you repair something in Fallout 3, it is simply a matter of selecting other like-modeled items, destroying the other items but adding to your initial item. This means durability as well as, in some cases, statistical bonus. So by saying the hunter rifle repairs Lincoln's repeater, I would mean that the hunting rifle is the weapon you sacrifice when repairing the item."
